We are pleased to present HALO, a process that forms a reflective surface by using a modified electrostatic dry powder coating procedure that permanently binds tiny glass microspheres to metal surfaces, resulting in a phenomenon known as retroreflectivity. Retroreflectivity exist when rays of light are reflected back to its original source after traveling through specially designed optics, in our case glass microspheres that cause objects to become illuminated and highly visible. |

The principle of reflection is common and widely used in several industries. In fact most highway products, such as reflective delineators – stop signs – lane markers, depend upon some sort of light reflecting device in order to make them more visible at night when the only source of illumination is the light from a motor vehicles head lamps. HALO does not only serve as a source of illumination, but also as a protective coating surface to most plastics, glass, and metal substrates – including galvanized steel. For these reasons the process is ideal for use on highway products requiring high detectability in poor visibility conditions, such as adverse weather, night time construction sites, and night time rural two lane highways – where little to no artificial light exists. Additionally, this process gives life to a unique concept that we refer to as Ground to Line Retroreflectivity (GLR). GLR, in essence introduces a new method of providing roadway delineation. GLR is adding nighttime visibility from the ground of which a product/device is placed, to the line of sight of motorist. Currently, we are in the late stage phase of introducing this one of a kind technology to the Transportation Industry and plan to launch a full product line in Q2 of 2010. |
